Innovation Space#
Cegal Prizm components are designed to be very flexible and can be deployed on either a local machine, on-prem network or in the public cloud. Python is the premier ecosystem for working with data, but deploying it and managing python environments in the enterprise is fraught with complications. As a solution to this problem we developed Cegal Innovation Space, a controlled, secure environment where you can use Python™ to connect to your data and create innovative workflows.
From a technical perspective Cegal Innovation Space represents a collaborative JupyterHub environment deployed on Kubernetes. Using Hub Server users can connect their local Petrel application to a remote hosted Python environment which is managed by Cegal using a set of pre-configured set of Docker images. The connection between the on-prem network and the cloud is secured by Keystone. Cegal Innovation Space also provides automatic secure connections to data in users’ Microsoft OneDrive and shared cloud storage.
Cegal Innovation Space - simplified architecture overview#
Cegal Innovation Space offers a controlled environment with pre-configured connections and a simple way of sharing Python notebooks. These connections can include Prizm to work with Petrel E&P software platform project data. Prizm components can be completely distributed, with Petrel, Hub and Python environments installed anywhere as long as outgoing connection can be made to the Hub Server. Innovation Space also allows you to deploy and upgrade applications – potentially based on Python code in notebooks – to specific users, to embrace innovation and efficiency.
