Cegal Hub has 2 licensing options.
Local - For use on the user local machine. No Cegal Keystone authentication required.
Server - For use with a stand-alone Cegal Hub Server deployed on a company network or cloud infrastructure. A Prizm Keystone Hub Server license is required to activate the Cegal Hub Server. Includes ability to run in local mode.
The license types support different deployment scenarios and “connector” requirements. Cegal Hub can be run on Windows or Linux, and on VMs or containers.
Please contact the Cegal Sales team for further information on pricing.
Local mode is for use on a local user desktop machine. When local mode is launched a local Cegal Hub Server and Cegal Hub Agent are launched in the same process.
Only “connector” applications that run on the local machine are permitted to connect to the local Cegal Hub Server.
Any number of instances of any connector type may be joined into the local Cegal Hub Server.
Note that although local mode does not require a Cegal Keystone Prizm license, a “connector” application may require licensing for its supported functionality. The local Cegal Hub Server will honour the “connector” application licensing requirements.
Server mode requires a stand-alone Cegal Hub Server instance to be activated using a Cegal Keystone Prizm Hub Server license. If the Server has not been activated then “connectors” will be unable to join into the Cegal Hub Server and “client” requests will be rejected by the Cegal Hub Server.
Cegal Hub Server mode supports multiple users, “connectors” and “clients” within the same customer tenant.
Cegal Hub Server can be activated by any individual user and is therefore analogous to a site license.
Cegal Hub Server may be deployed on the local network.
Cegal Hub Server may be deployed in the public cloud.
Cegal also offer hosted SaaS Cegal Hub Server solutions. These include hosting within the Cegal Geocloud, the Cegal Innovation Space or individual Cegal Hub Server instances.
